Top ten things heard at the Kidz fair

  1. Is it venomous/poisonous?
  2. Does it bite?
  3. Where are the bathrooms?
  4. Which one is YOUR favorite?
  5. I saw this one snake, what was it?
  6. Do you have a rattlesnake?
  7. That guy said it's a RATtlesnake!
  8. Erica, put that down!
  9. Is it poisonous?
  10. Do you know what time Blues clues will be taking pictures?

But seriously- Myself, Kory, Erica, Jeremy, Cyndi, and Ryan all had a great time spreading the herping gospel on Saturday. This time it was held at Barton Colesium(although we were in another building at the fairgrounds) instead of Alltel Arena like last year. I have to say, I liked Alltel a little better, although it was much cooler at this years location. I have no idea how many folks came by our table, but there were a bunch. Like I said last year, there is nothing that makes your heart warm like a kids eyes lighting up when they touch a snake for the first time. Anway, a good time was had by all, and there should be pictures of the event posted shortly.

Sorry for those of you expecting my normal dissertation describing every detail of a herp-related weekend. Too busy, and not enough life changing stuff happened to warrant my usual rantings. I will say we got to meet got to me Ryan aka 'photographer 24/7' and his dad. We enjoyed your company, attitude and knowledge and most of all, your hard work. I dont think I ever saw you sittin down taking it easy- you'll definitely fit in with this group. Hope to see you at the fall field trip. That is, if your dad didnt get home and say 'Ryan, you are never going near that bunch again! '
