So far, my only two snakes from here (I just got to AR less than 24 hours ago) were a DOR rough earth and a cotton that I cruised on a shoulderless hwy while being tailgated by a dude in a huge truck. It was off the road by the time I could get turned around...

It appears that we have found a great place to go road cruising, but the only problem is that most snakes we find are dead.  In 2 nights we have seen more snakes that all of the other times we've gone road cruising combined.  A total of 9 snakes.  5 of those were copperheads.  Ok ok maybe it's not all that many, but we only cruised about 6 miles down this road so I don't think that's too bad. 
So here are the totals for tonight.


2 Copperheads-DOR
1 Copperhead-AOR
1 Great Plains ratsnake-DOR   

I had to do some fancy footwork to avoid hitting the copperhead, but it all worked out!
