Topic: Herping with the new kid on the block

I hooked up with mikemike last night for a little road cruising fun. Mike is from Cali so everything was new to him. It's always cool seeing someone get a lifer.  big_smile
We had a pretty good night from a purely numbers standpoint but diversity was lacking a little.
Here are our totals...

AOR:
15 copper heads
1 milk snake

DOR:
4 copper heads
1 rough green
1 timber rattlesnake

Ever wonder why conservatives are called the right and liberals are called the left?

Thanks again, Eric. I had a blast. I'm looking forward to getting out more.

Yeah, it was good to see the milk. That's only the 2nd one this year. I was kind of surprised we didn't see any specks. and seeing that DOR timber really sucked!

The DOR horridus was definitely a heartbreak.

Hey, I got 3 Copperheads...but I only drove about 3 miles away from my house to get them.   wink  Moon was only about half, but without cloud cover it looked pretty bright.  Unless there is some additional rain and cloudy night, I think this best little window for road cruising may have expired until the next new moon.

The moon was ridiculously bright last night for being less than half full.
