Yesterday ,during which we had some VERY low dew points and humidity we had numerous fires spring up around here and there. Firefighters from the Arkansas Forestry Commision were out most of the day,being called to different areas of the county to assist with these wildfires. Last night about midnight as we were coming off of another fire and getting our gear packed back up at the station,they saw our lights on and stopped in to see us. The leadman told of a very large Timber Rattles snake that he almost stepped on while working the fireline near Pyatt(Marion Co),also seen a number of other herps. All I seen while working our line was a armadillo!!!!   But I guess that"s a pretty good indication that spring is almost here!!!!
