Topic: No, i havent been out...

I just posted some pics of a midland brown snake...my wife, being a teacher and wife of me, gets a lot of 'hey, we found a snake, do you want it?'
Anyway, I had lost this roll of film until the other day...the pics are from last april, prior to the spring field trip- Just in case anyone thought I was still flipping and finding animals!

Digital is over rated and limited, but nice. Stick with what you have. It is becoming a lost art and you do well with it.

No way, digital is much better than film.  Film might be better than the particular model of digital that I am using, but these new 10 mp digital cameras that they are coming out with are awesome.

After thinking about it for a while, I did figure out two major advantages that film has.

(1) If you are being chased by an angry mob (as has happened to me) it is much easier to throw your film to a henchman than an SD card.

(2) Film canisters can be easily turned into turkey calls.  So after you have finished your shooting session, you can have a shooting session of a different type big_smile

(Insert Vader like voice) You don't know the power of the digital side.

I happen to use both digital and film.  And unless you want to spend 1000's then there is no way that a digital can do the tricks that a good old film camera can do (and some things still have yet to be duplicated by digital).  In the support of digital I would say that for general purpose digital is better, and that it does make the everday snapshots easier.
