Topic: TGIS- thank God its spring

As of late, like most of you, I been chompin at the bit to go flip something and find a reptile. (ironic...kept swearing i'd go out lookin for sallies, but i never got around to it...they just dont fascinate me as much i guess!)  Anyway, yesterday on my lunch break, i took a little drive onto Ft Chaffee here in fort smith...me and jeremy have spied some dumping sites out there...now its mostly being developed for commercial stuff...well some folks (dont you just love predictable human nature) have been dumping junk out there. Yesterday, i flipped a large black rat snake...which really got me pumped...then when i got home, i took my son, who'll turn 2 next saturday on his first herp trip.  We found a worm snake and i have never seen him so excited.  It was quite a moment. We also found some mice and lizards...but it was awesome, he would point to a rock and say "more snakes?".  Gotta love that.

Awww how cute! smile
I hope you took some pics, or will next trip smile
Nothing nicer than sharing the interest in animals with your kids.

I am SOO itching to go herping, but its been a bit chilly today and will be tomorrow, and my car is feeling icky, so I think I will be sitting out this weekend.  Maybe next weekend the herp Gods will favor me big_smile

I'm about to have an abruptly.
