Topic: Ouachita pics and such
Hey all. I type this after getting up at around 4 a.m. and participating in full evening of St. Patties day festivities. I got my "free" t-shirt off of Dickson Street. So if I make a type-O and such just keep on through the post.
Some of us headed down to the Ouachita Nat. Forest. If you can not guess the target species, then you have not followed the recent posts. I must say the frost on the ground and the wind did not detour us from trying. We did fail at finding our target species.
I must admit to just wanting to get out and find any and all things that most people do not like.
We found Ringnecks and Worm snakes

We also found the common species of Fence Lizards, Ground Skinks and what I ID as a Five-lined Skink (maybe a Coal, I did not think about that species).
We also hit a a few salamander species. One is a fairly common one, Southern Redback Salamander:

I did not know that they came in the yellow-green stipe pattern much like Ozark Zigzags.
I did not flip one of these, but it was found near me. It is a lifer for me, Rich Mountain Salamander.

I did flip one other snake. It was this Red Milk Snake:

Of course the greatest entertainment, was the the witty banter between B, and the Hulk.
Must sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
