Topic: Sunday outing

Today I met up with Anja and her two sons for a little herping. We had a good time and still manged to find a few snakes...

cottonmouths-around 2 dozen-stopped catching them after about 10
watersnakes-about a dozen or more-made no attempt at catching-Nerodia didnt get any love from this group
ribbonsnakes-3-a nice treat for me since I never seem to come across them
black rat-1-you'll have to ask her son about this one
multiple species of frogs,turtles, and lizards that we didnt attempt to catch. The softshell was on the road
we also had other interesting sightings such a red muskrat, pack hunting Jack Russells, and a dead horse!(I think the Jack Russells did it!)
All in all a good day.

i love those baby cotton mouths, there absolutly beautifull.its always nice to find the juvies,ive foud many diferent shades of the young, its always a plesant supprise!
