Topic: Louisiana Pain Day 2

We will go with this format. So day three will come in the coming days, and of course maybe along the way some nudity.

So Saturday morning comes, and now we are seven humans and one dog (we will give her a name now "Holly"). This picture is as close to nudity as I have. This is a picture of the group minus the Captain, Holly and I.

The scouters spotted some tin and thought we would start there, but before that Kory caught this little Green Anole.

The tin was an awsome site, but all it produced were the usual Green Anoles, Ground Skinks and Five-lined Skinks. The most significant find was this Redbelly Snake.

We did tree this rat.

Off to the ranger station for the second time. We have to find that stupid church. While others were in talking I spotted a second Cottonmouth and showed it to Kory, but no pictures were taken. We did see these two very interesting animals on the side of the ranger station.

We hit the rangers scrap site, but again very little but a nice Dwarf Salamander was found by ToadLicker. We found many more Dwarfs throughout the day.

On to another spot that took us through Louisiana Pine habitat, but nothing was found until we stopped at an open area and turned up this great find by Kory, Buttermilk Racer.

I also took a picture of these two Fence Lizards. Looks like a couple to me. If you look very close you can see the female on the tree on the far right.

We stopped at a little Rocky area, were again the great Salamander girl found another new species to me. Southern Dusky Salamander.

Now off to a Rocky area that I will never forget. We flipped more of the usual and some Dwarf Sallies. This nice eft stage of a Central Newt.

And this thing. This guy will probably take a life of his own. I will let that thread take place and again put my two cents in.

More flipping followed and again we only found the usuals. We hit a burned out old building that Lindsey put us on. It did yield these nice Texas/Western Rat and a Brown Snake.

Well we road cruised out of the forest and hit the campground for showers and dinner back in town. We did have one little incident. Kory did get a flat tire, so we changed that in the dark. I hope you got that fixed.

Day three will come later. It was the best day for herps by far.
