I am seeking your assistance to help me in receiving an important sum of money which i inherited from my late father who died in a recent crisis in Cote d'Ivoire. I wish to request for your assistance in investing this money in a lucrative venture under your directives and guidiance in your country.
I want you to assist me for the transfer of this sum of Five million, five hundred thousand United State Dollars.(USD5.5 million )to your private or company account hence I will give you the contact of the bank where the money is so that you can contact them immediately and discuss with them since I do not know much about financial issues. I will give you some resonable percentage from the total sum for your assistance while I pray that you do not betray me at last.
Please it is important you me immediately for more clarificationsthrough my email address (nrgomel1@yahoo.com) on the next step hence it is my wish to relocate to your country as soon as this transfer is concluded.
God bless you.

Yours sincerely,

I found it odd that this person was still a member.  This was back in May.  I figured other people would have received similar pm's and the account deleted?
I can't believe anyone falls for those scams...

Re: A PM from "From Miss Nora Gomel"

I'm not sure how this spam made it through our filters or if anyone else had received Pm's similar. More than likely they did not- or they would have brought it to our attention and we would have taken immediate action against that account. Inactive accounts are pruned if members have not logged in within 3 months.

That account has been deactivated and banned  via IP address.  For future reference, you might consider updating your own membership. I'm not sure how your account would have gone that long without being pruned if you had not logged in... and if you have logged in- the new messege alert would have drawn your attention.

Thank you for letting us know of your concern.
