Here is a pro for you snake chasers: Poteau mountain has lots of rocky areas that look like excellent rattler dens. Just sayin.  big_smile

There certainly are some good looking places on Poteau  but not a real good place to stay. At least not that I know of. Any ideas?

There is a very nice campgroung at lake hinkle. It is a USFS area and is as good if not better than most state parks. It has hot showers, great campsites and loads of shoreline for snake, turtle and frog hunting.

First off I'm sorry I haven't been on here much lately to update everyone. The trip planning is still happening and I hope to post an official announcement in the very near future. There are still a few details I need to work out, but I'm optimistic that It'll all be worked out very soon.
