I'll just add to this thread..
Few of the finds from Weds night.
Of course every stick was a "snake" but then, they actually were...lol
Kicking off our venture Kory spotted this big girl.

Gotta get a defensive pose

GAH! To my credit, I actually didn't freak totally out...I did that later with our centipede encounter

YIKES.

The "Red-headed Monster" aka the StepChild. This thing was kinda freaky, and cool, and WOULD NOT HOLD STILL, so sorry for the crappy pic.
To my credit I did NOT freak out during the tarantula, but there was a moment where this got strangely close to my legs and I squealed like a little girl. LOL Naturally we saw NO traffic UNTIL we tried to catch this for Kory to take to camp. (psst! He hides it in people's backpacks that get into trouble at camp!!SHHH!! ) j/k but wow..this thing was freaky.

This is an adorable little Flathead snake. Never seen one before, and this one was on the road. Both thought it was another stick.

This little baby was just sorta meandering across the road. We decided after seeing our standard Copperhead it was time to call it an evening before we turned into pumpkins.

I'm about to have an abruptly.
