One of my more unusual findings: baby raccoon on the road. I walked right up to it, and it didn't move. It seemed weak, lethargic, so I don't know if the heat got to it, or if it was sick. I took a couple of pics then shoo'ed it off the road.

That was something I wondered too. Hard to say. It was eating part of some fast food trash on the road, so it may've just been really hungry..lol

We have a terrible problem with distemper in Bentonville. I encounter raccoons with it on a regular basis while on duty. It's sad because it's a 100% death sentence for them.

Yeah when I was working for the vet in rogers a lot of people would bring them in.

awww..poor thing..Well I kept a safe distance, but couldn't resist a pic. He didn't seem "right". Most healthy animals will bail when you approach.
