Found a timber tonight.  My first ever.  Been road cruising quite a bit this year looking for one with no luck.  Only rattlesnake I had found was a fresh run over pygmy.  I have seen several pygmy rattlesnakes through the years but timbers have always eluded me.  Of course I never really went cruising or looking for snakes that much until last year.  I did when I was a kid around the house but then I became interested in other things for a while.  Then I joined the Marine Corps.  When I got out I started getting interested in native snakes again.  I have always kept snakes and even when I was in the Marines I got in trouble for keeping a corn snake in my wall locker.  Gunny wasn't to happy about that.  Anyways,  Courtney was not able to go but pointed me in the right direction. I brought it back so she could photograph it so I am sure she will post some pics for me.  What a great night!
