At least I think so. It was a first for me. Yesterday evening a friend called me. His 45 year old daughter was going beserk. She had pulled a box from under her bed and out came a snake with it. He asked that I come over and remove it.

After telling him to keep his daughter away from it so she wouldn't kill it, I my grabbed herp gear and drove over. My friend and his wife know nothing about snakes but thier daughter was convinced that this was a young Moccasin.

Welllllllllllllllllllllllllll, I was escorted to the back bedroom and finally located the horrid creature. It was between the carpet and a wall and I had missed it several times. It was about 2-1/2" long and the diameter of a pencil lead, maybe. It was a Eastern Worm Snake, the first I had actually seen outside a picture.

After confirming that this was indeed the culprit and that it was completely harmless, I relocateed it to a flower bed at my house. The daughter of course still belives it was a Moc and that it was very aggresive towards her. What can we say to people like that? LOL!!!! Anyway, It was a first for me and I thought it was pretty cool.
