I just moved here about 6-months ago and had a deer in the back yard, then a day later was a little fawn with white spots.  Also have several Armadillos in the yard in late afternoon and could almost pet them they were so busy scavenging for bugs.   And on two occassions there was a Badger in the yard just before dark - but it was very elusive.  That deer and its fawn came back last night and walked right up to the patio and seemed to be eating the acorns that had just fallen from the oak trees.
