Topic: found a snake in my yard, any ideas on identification

i saw this snake this morning and search many sites trying to identify it but am having no success,, anyone know what it is? or where i could search to find out?/ thx

Is there a picture? (I didn't see one) I don't claim to have psychic powers...but I'm getting an image of...a midland brown snake.

Look at all the pictures under the snake section. It will show you pictures of all the native Arkansas snakes.

That's the best way to go.  Not only are all Arkansas snake species pictured, but each snake has a 'gallery' that will show different 'poses' and different ages.(Some snakes color and pattern change as they mature)  I was only joking that I 'knew' that it was a midland brown.  That is the most common snake I.D. picture sent in to the Q&A.
