Topic: Marion County salamanders

Hey,

I've been trying to track down the county record for Plethodon serratus in Marion County. Any ideas where I might find more information about it?

Thanks,

Ben

Re: Marion County salamanders

I can look in the herp atlas database.  I have parent/teacher conferences tonight, so it might take me a day or two.  Actually, email me if you would so I'll have a reminder stuck in my inbox.

You could contact the senior author of the book.  He is from that area and I suspect he is the one that collected it, but he might not be.

Two museum specimens of P. serratus from Marion Co. are housed in the Milwaukee Public Museum, Milwaukee, WI with museum #'s MPM-14664 and MPM-14665.  The collector is listed as S E Trauth.  The collection date is December 26, 1976.
