Topic: Need live food in Little Rock

Hello all, I recently purchased a ball python and have tried numerous times to feed him thawed small rats. The breeders i bought him from said that rats is what he was eating. He has shown little to no interest in the thawed rats from the numerous times i've tried to feed him, and after contacting the breeder they suggested feeding live since that is what they fed him. It feels like forever since he has eaten and i am getting worried. I was hoping someone could direct me to someone who sells feeder rats or maybe had some advice. I have already ried dipping the rodents nose in boiling water right before feeding because i have tried that, he never seems interested, and i've also tried moving him to another enclosure, nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated.

hmm Stop dipping the rat in boiling water, go for lower water temperature and soak a
already thawed rat to warm him up.
Also when presenting the rat to the snake hold the rat by the back so he looks
alive rather than just dangling him by the tail.
Other than that just  wait him out , every time wait a little longer before you break down
and feed him a live rat,it takes quite a while but it will work every time.

If you do end up having to feed live just go to a pet store and but a live rat. Ball pythons can be a pain in the butt sometimes.
