Topic: snakes in december

I found a baby ringneck maybe 2 weeks ago on the concrete behind my house and didnt mess with besides hiding it so my cat wouldnt find it (not that im sure it would help). Wondering if you guys could shed any light on whether not there is anything you should do when you find a snake out that late in the year? is letting it be best?

Yes, it would probably be best to leave it alone. The warm temps we had in December probably prompted it to come to the surface. I would guess he went back underground when it got cold. Ringneck snakes have become one of my favorites. They are usually very docile.   smile
